Burgvogel Solingen

"Me fecit Solingen" (created for me by Solingen),

In these Latin words, Burgvogel Solingen says that, despite the most modern production methods, it remains true to the combination of high demands on quality and precise craftsmanship of its products.

This German company was founded by the Bahns brothers in 1949 in Solingen.

In the first years of its existence, the company had only ten employees, who were initially engaged in the production of knives to order.

At this time, the company comes (as the first in the world) with a semi-automatic knife grinder and thus sets the direction in the technological innovation of knife grinding.

However, the demand for Burgvogel products grew sharply, so in 1952 the company moved to a new premises, which replaced the original, unsuitable capacity.

In 1953, 1956, 1971, 1984 and 1986, production was modernized and expanded to respond to market needs and progress. In the 1980s and 1990s, therefore, additional production capacity was purchased.

In 1997, the company was certified according to DIN 9002.

The company is still investing considerable amounts in new and innovative technologies, and the third generation of Bahns will now continue in the future in accordance with the long tradition of this cutlery company.

Burgvogel Solingen 's quality-proven kitchen and butcher knives, made using the best steels, many years of experience and hard work, are now sold almost all over the world.
