What does Thermo Line mean?

It is a thermally modified timber (TMT = Thermally modofoed timber), ie, wood in which its properties change due to high temperature. This process has its natural properties in that it is sometimes referred to as "domestic tropical wood".

In the controlled atmosphere of a special chamber, the wood is exposed to a temperature of around 250 ° C and a certain humidity. The effect of heat and moisture caramelizes the sugar crystals contained inside the wood. This changes the cellular structure of the wood. As a result, wood acquires new properties, such as a reduced ability to absorb water - it is much more water-resistant, has a longer lifespan, and also acquires resistance to mold, fungi and insects. At the same time, the wood receives a unique dark shade with a preserved drawing of the wood, both on the surface and inside the wood. This process is purely thermal without any added chemicals!
