With these Latin words the Burgvogel Solingen company says that though using the most modern manufacturing technologies, it remains true to the combination of highest quality demands and precision artisanal manufacturing of its products.

This german company was established by brothers Bahns in 1949 in Solingen.

In the first years of its existence the company only employed 10 workers, who initially focused on manufacturing knives on comission.

Around that time the company (as the first ones in the world) comes with semiautomatic knife grinder and thus sets the example as a technological innovator in knife grinding.

The demand for Burgvogel products then grew rapidly, so the company moved in 1952 to a bigger space that replaced the old unsuitable factory.

In 1953, 1956, 1971, 1984 and 1986 the production was modernized and expanded in order to meet the demands of the market and progress. In 80's and 90's new production spaces are obtained.

In 1997 the company received a DIN 9002 certification.

The company keeps investing greatly in new and innovative technologies even in recent years, which will be continued by the third generation of Bahns family members further into future according to the long-running family tradition of this knife making company.
